Donate
The Navy Clearance Diver Trust receives no government funding. Every donation goes directly to Clearance Divers and their families, through immediate relief or long-term programs.
Choose the NCDT Relief Fund, the Transition & Resilience Fund, or both.
- How the trust works
Where would you like your donation to go?
NCDT operates two separate, ACNC-registered charitable funds. Before you give, take a moment to understand what each one does. You can support one or both.
NCDT Relief Fund
Immediate financial relief
The Relief Fund provides direct financial assistance when a Clearance Diver or their family is facing hardship that Defence entitlements, DVA support, and other services cannot fully address. Support is assessed and distributed on a case-by-case basis.
NCDT Transition & Resilience Fund
Programs preventing hardship
The Transition & Resilience Fund invests in programs that build long-term resilience, so hardship is less likely to occur. Donations support coaching, education scholarships, mentoring, and wellbeing research.
The Trust does not have an expiry date. It is here for as long as there are serving and ex-serving Clearance Divers. The NCDT provides support to RAN Clearance Divers and their families, whether the Clearance Diver has been in operational service or training.
- FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
These are the questions donors ask us most often. If yours is not listed, contact us and we will help.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Donations of $2 or more may be tax-deductible. A receipt confirming this will be issued to your email address automatically.
Can I make a regular monthly donation?
For regular giving arrangements, please contact our Secretary at secretary@ncdt.org.au.
Which fund should I choose?
The NCDT Relief Fund provides immediate financial assistance for Clearance Divers and families facing hardship right now. The Transition & Resilience Fund supports prevention programs, including coaching, scholarships, and mentoring, to help Divers prepare for life after service. Both are equally important. If you are unsure, you can select “Where it is needed most” and NCDT will direct your gift appropriately.
How does NCDT decide who receives support?
Support from the NCDT Relief Fund is assessed on a case-by-case basis by the trustees. All applications are treated with strict confidentiality. The CD Community Development Liaison provides a trusted, confidential point of contact between applicants and the Trust.
How does NCDT use donations?
NCDT receives no government funding. Donations and sponsorships fund direct financial relief and prevention programs for Clearance Divers and their families. Annual financial reports are independently audited by Moore Australia and published on our Media & Reports page.
