The Navy Clearance Diver Trust supports serving and ex-serving Royal Australian Navy Clearance Divers and their families. We operate through two ACNC-registered charitable funds and receive no government funding.

Mr Gerard Woods

Gerard is a partner at national law firm Allens and practises predominately in the areas of energy and natural resources law.
While he has not served in the Defence Forces, Gerard recently discovered that his wife’s grandfather was a navy diver, first in the Scottish navy and then the Royal Australian Navy, and Gerard’s uncle served in Vietnam. Gerard has four adult children and enjoys training for, and participating (at a very modest standard) in, endurance triathlons.
Gerard is a board member of Allens and the Practice Director of the Perth office of Allens. He is a past president of the Western Australian Branch of the Australian Mining and Petroleum Law Association. He represents Allens on the Australia Papua New Guinea Business Council.
Gerard’s firm, Allens, assisted on the establishment of the NCDT and provide on-going pro bono legal advice to the NCDT.
