The Navy Clearance Diver Trust supports serving and ex-serving Royal Australian Navy Clearance Divers and their families. We operate through two ACNC-registered charitable funds and receive no government funding.

Recognised by the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide.

Use of Funds Raised by the Trust

In line with the Trust Deed, if a CD is financially unable to support their immediate circumstances, NCDT 1 can cover the gap that DVA and other services are unable to provide. Examples of such services include:

    • The gap between DVA funded services and what is recommended by your medical professional including any funding gaps on medical treatments, or medical services beyond the DVA maximum caps.
    • DVA pharmaceutical funding gaps, such as when your medical professional is recommending non-PBS medications.
    • Assistance with medical costs while waiting for DVA acceptance of claims
    • Assistance with funeral costs
    • Emergency funds for essential services or support in necessitous circumstances.

Use of funds under NCDT 2 aid in the professional career coaching program (CDPC) to complement transition services provided by the ADF. The CDPC helps Clearance Divers settle into sustainable and fulfilling careers.

Testimonial from a participant:

“I would highly recommend this program for any transitioning CD, regardless of rank. The course helps identify both professional and personal strengths which later help to define career and employment goals. Being a CD carries with it a unique skillset which can often be hard to assimilate to civilian life. Partaking in this course and utilising the one-on-one coaching, training and mentoring makes it easier for candidates to find their way post transition, set new goals and understand their worth and success in an unfamiliar environment that being civilian life.”
